Weekend of Relaxation

I don't remember the last time I had a weekend with NO plans.
It was amazingly incredible!
Scott and I last minute got together with some friends for a date night.
Nothing like a good trip down memory lane as we spent the evening at Nickel City.
I got to play some of my favorite games...Pac-Man and Galaxian.
You all probably had no idea I played games like that as a kid, but my Dad rubbed off onto me and I still love it!
Then Scott found a game that he got hooked on pretty quick!
It was a silly block stacking game, but if you were able to stack the blocks all the way to the top you got 100+ tickets.  I have to admit that I got into it as well.
Oh well, it was all worth it and it was so FUN!

That was the extent of our Friday night.
Then came Saturday.
I slept in...and that is a miracle! Ever since I've been waking up at 5:30 to get read for work, if I can sleep in until 7 on Saturdays, I am one lucky girl!
I woke up at 10 and didn't have to hurry and rush off anywhere.
It was the best feeling ever.
Saturdays with nothing to do...that can be a problem for some.
For me, it is no problem at all!
I spent the morning watching a new favorite show of mine (thanks to Netflix) Hart of Dixie.
There's something about the South that I LOVE and that show is great to give me a fill of the South.
Every now and then Scott says that he would want to end up in the South for law school and after.
Needless to say, at the moment, I don't have a problem with that.

The day went on and I ran a few errands and then Scott and I had a relaxing night eating pizza and watching a movie.  What a night for some newlyweds!

Tonight we had our usual family dinner.  Adrianna came over after she got off work, and we also invited some of Scott's friends over.
You see, Scott is usually surrounded by a bunch of girls now because of me, and my sisters.  It is quite the adjustment for him, so I try to make sure he has some time to spend with his boys.

I have been trying a new recipe a week and this week I tried a delicious
I'm not used to taking pictures, otherwise I would have one for you.
Anyways, it was good good good!
If you ever have time to make it I would highly recommend it.

Now it's time to wrap up a nice relaxing weekend and get ready for a busy week of work and school.
Life is great and we all go on living.

Hope you all had a great weekend too.

Home Sweet Home

It's not much, but it's our Home and we LOVE it!

We found this lovely place on KSL a few months ago and fell in love.
Actually, being the one's in this apartment is a miracle.
There was another couple that was going to get it.
However, we worked our magic and obviously now it's ours.

Other than getting settled in and living together, we are enjoying hearing what we experience each day.  One of the best things is hearing what happens at school with my students.
Spending day after day with 1st graders you hear some of the funniest things.

Within the first few days of being back at school, all my students wanted to know was when Scott was coming to visit.  Scott came on Halloween dressed up and the kids thought he was the best ever! So if there is ever any way that they can include Scott, they make sure I tell him.  Maybe one day he'll come and surprise them with a visit.  Now that is something you can look forward to.

As for our 3 day weekend (all thanks to Martin Luther King, Jr.)...we took advantage of spending time together, because it's hard to during the week when I'm at work all day.  My sister Daniella came down from Rexburg to escape and have a little fun.  We didn't do too much, but just being together was fun.  We all met up, with Adrianna too, and had breakfast at Kneaders and it was Amazing!!! Then we ran errands, picked out a fun couch for our lovely apartment, and then just relaxed and watched a movie or two.

Obviously Scott was pretty excited about the comfy couch!
This is the ONE!! Soon to be our very own :)

Nothing like a good relaxing weekend.  And then going to a few wedding receptions, reminded us of the memories we made at our own reception.  I don't think we will go to a reception, and not think about our own.   We can't help but say that our reception was the BEST EVER!

Hope everyone else had a fun 3 day weekend!
More pictures of our apartment to come as it is all put together.

Howdy from the Gowdys!

You should've seen this coming.
We know how much you are dying to know about our lives so here it is.

Life has come at us faster than we expected, but we LOVE it!
Each day we get to know each other even better and adjust to the ways that we live.
Amazing things happen, difficult things happen, but that's life.
We live to learn and enjoy our lives.
This is what our lives are like now.

Our little home is coming together and we are slowly, but surely getting adjusted.  Ali is back at work and Scott is back at school and busy with rugby.  With our crazy schedules, we still find time to be together whenever we can.
We look back on where we have been, what we have done, and where we are going.  One of our most favorite things to do is look back on the pictures from our wedding day.  Here is a link if you would like to see some for yourselves.

We will keep you all updated with our lives, so feel free to come back and check out what's going on!
