Better Late than Never

Better late than never in a few different ways here.  

I am extremely late on Valentine's Day and Scott and I did end up having a delayed Valentine's Day.

Due to a rugby game Scott and I were not able to spend our first Valentine's day together. 

Sad story I know.  

BUT

Don't be too sad...

We were still able to have a Valentine's Day. 

I had fun giving Scott a countdown to Valentine's Day and might have gotten a little too cutsie for Scott, but I just couldn't help it.  

The night before Scott left for his game, he came home late from his Young Men's activity and had may favorite candy bar, Milky Way, and my favorite soda, Dr. Pepper along with a sweet note.  

It was so cute and I can't believe I forgot to capture it.  I forgot to capture the other "real" Valentine's Day goodies.  It was an assortment of all sorts of things that I love.  Even little things that I don't always think to get.  

One of our absolute favorite parts of Valentine's Day was thinking back on our wedding day and looking at the pictures.

All in all, our first Valentine's Day being away from each other wasn't that bad.  In years to come we are going to make sure we have the best Valentine's Days and that we get to spend them together!
